OFC-Modified - Introduction
This section presents the modified version of Open Flash Chart that I slapped together in June and July of 2008. OFC was early in the development cycle, I didn't have time to wait for it to stablize and it didn't have some of the features that I needed so I decided to learn ActionScript and Flash and see if I could make it dance the way I wanted it to.
Since the source code I started with was released under the LGPL license I feel compelled to do the same so it is made available here. OFC has come a long way since then and has many features that this one does not. It also has a lot of additional library support while there is none available for this version.
I have not tried to keep this version up to date with OFC and have no intention of doing so. I only enhance it when I need something for my simple needs. There are some features available in this version that are not yet available in OFC2 so if you are desperate for one of those features then you are welcome to use this. I am trying to make patches to OFC2 to implement several of the enhancements in this version. I suspect that this version would mainly be used for reference purposes for anyone other than me and a couple of users that I know of.
Be warned that the JSON is completely different from the official OFC release so do not try to mix and match.
